Salim & Mara Brock Akil is teaming up with BET for a new Reality Series !!

The producers Salim and Mara Brock Akil, who brought TV shows like The Game and the movie Sparkle is joining the reality world. The Akil's will be producing the show “Hip Hop Sisters”. Hip Hop Sisters will follow six female emcees (MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage, Yo Yo, Smooth, Monie Love, and Lil Mama) as the relaunch their careers.

In addition to Hip Hop Sisters, BET will be launching 3 other show Back to Me, Gone Gospel and Internal Affairs. All of which are in its development phase.
