We haven't had a complete album from Lauryn Hill since 2002 but due to her legal tax issues we will hear music again. Hill owed $504,000 in taxes after not paying for three years, a charge she plead guilty to.
So, Lauryn Hill signed a 5 song deal with Sony for $1 million dollars which will pay her tax debt. On top of the million, she will also get additional funds to record an entire album.
This is one of the best deals I have ever seen in the music industry. It will be good to hear some music from Ms. Hill.
