Snoop Dogg's Son Offered UCLA Football Scholarship

Another Day, Another Scholarship ! Just as people are starting to get over P. Diddy's son Justin getting his scholarship, another rap superstar son is picking up his. Snoop Dogg's son Cordell is only a sophomore, but he has been offered a full scholarship to UCLA.  The school's head football coach Jim L. Mora has offered Cordell Broadus a scholarship for 2015, according to National Football Post.

UCLA has come under fire for offering scholarships to children from well-known wealthy families, however the school has made it clear that sports scholarships are based on ability, and not the financial status of the student.

In response to the public reaction to Combs' scholarship, UCLA spokesperson Ricardo Vazquez issued the following statement: “Unlike need-based scholarships, athletic scholarships are awarded to students strictly on the basis of their athletic and academic ability, and not on a student’s financial need. Athletic scholarships, such as those awarded to football or basketball players, do not rely on state funds."

If you are talented in sports, just like any other athlete, you deserve to go to school and prove yourself. Good Luck to Snoop's son Cordell !
