2011 is almost over, it has been a good year for hip-hop and a bad year for hip-hop. We have several new artist to hit the scene, lost some old artist, and had some artist make history. Without further hesitance, we bring to you 11 stories in Hip-Hop that you will never forget.


Kim Kardashian 72 day Marriage
Although this story doesn't directly deal with hip-hop, it affect the culture the same. The topic of Kim Kardashian 72 Marriage hit all social network sites and became a trending topic and a discussion for weeks.  Hip-Hop artist, radio djs, comedians, etc., all had their shots at the story.


Beyonce is Pregnant !
The VMAs was a big event but the biggest news story was Beyonce showing off her baby bump to the world. No performance, awards, nothing could top the fact the Beyonce and Jay-Z was having their first child together. And even as we enter 2012 the question is whether Beyonce is pregnant or not is still and will be a hip-hop news story until the baby is revealed.

Heavy D died
After a great performance at the 2011 Hip-Hop awards, the news of Heavy D passing shocked the world. With the Internet age, everybody took the all the social networking site hoping or waiting to hear the deceased deny the rumor. This never happened but we will always remember his last tweet "Be Inspired".


Nate Dogg Death (March 15th)
We heard about Nate Dogg suffering from a stroke about 3 years before his death but from what I was told coming up "No News is good news" so many may have thought that all was good.





Mister Cee caught with a Transsexual
Mister Cee New York Hot 97 DJ was arrest and caught receiving "falacio" (urban term) from a transsexual.




Amy Whinehouse Death (July 23rd)
Anytime a person die before the age of 30, it is always a tragic. With Amy Whinehouse being a mega star everywhere, her death shocked everybody from any culture.



Conrad Murray was convicted of MJ murder
On June 25th 2009, the news of Michael Jackson death sent shocks through the world. Old people, young people, hip-hop, pop,etc. didn't want to believe that the crowned "King of Pop" was dead. But on November 7, 2011, everyone found out more about his death and the man accused of killing him  Conrad Murray was convicted and sentenced to 4 years for the death of Michael Jackson.



Shawty Lo signs with G-Unit
Not sure if you will never forget this but it sure came as a surprise. Normally when someone signs with a label, we hear talks of it for month leading up to the actual signing but nothing on this venture until the actual date.



Ray J vs. Fabulous 
This is strange because Ray J and beefing is not what we know as his character. The beef alleged started with a tweet that Fabulous put out about one of Ray J's performances via twitter. And he allegedly punched Fabulous in the face. If you don't remember watch Ray J spazz out.



Lupe Fiasco call Obama a terrorist
It came a shock since hip-hop was behind Obama's campaign since the beginning. But Lupe was not ashamed to speak his mind on this one.  Obama spoke a terrorism a few days before and Fiasco's response was Obama is the biggest terrorist.
Lil Wayne diss Jay Z on a record (True or False)
Never been confirmed as true or false but the big story is Lil Wayne took a shot a Jay Z and Beyonce in 1 of his tracks. But Jigga did call their feud part of "the sport," adding that it's part of "Rap music."
